Leadership Training:

For underclassmen in college:  All new leaders go though a course that involves a training class that meets once per week for one semester. We offer training in the fall and in the spring semesters. At the end of the semester, we have a fun celebration, Leader Placement Night, in which the new leaders are welcomed by their new team.

For other college students and adults: Upperclassman and adults who want to be leaders are taken through the Young Life leader training manual over the course of a few weeks.  This can be done through a small group of other individuals going through the process at the same time, or one-on-one with a leader at a time that fits with your schedule.  The training is followed by an interview and placement on a team.

Committee member, Viki, with her daughter Olivia, a volunteer leader for Young Life College
Young Life begins because of adults - because of their love for the Lord, their love for lost kids in their community, and their committment to Young Life's vision of reaching every kid, everywhere for Christ.
And Young Life is sustained by adults serving on an area committee.  They are unseen and unknown to most of the kids they serve, but these people are the foundation for successful ministry in Young Life communities.
